Meet Our Staff

Adria joined our practice as a dental assisting intern in 1993. After graduating from the SeaTac OSC Dental Assisting program, she transitioned into full time dental assisting where she has grown into a key player on the Edgar Dentistry team. Her assisting school thought so much of her skills that they asked her to serve in a lay advisory role to their Board of Directors after graduation.

Adria prides herself on comfort management for all patients. She especially enjoys working with children. Her interests out of the office include church activities, cooking and travel.

Amy graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2001. Prior to that, she was a dental assistant for several years. She is most passionate about treatment and prevention of periodontal disease, but truly enjoys educating her patients about all aspects of dentistry. She feels particularly lucky to have the opportunity to develop a relationship with her patients over the years, and loves to get to know them and their families.

Amy has a husband and a young son and daughter who keep her very busy in her free time. Together, they love to hike, bike, camp, spend time with friends, and explore our beautiful area.

Cathy, our Administrative Assistant, is a people person who enjoys taking care of details. She has more than 30 years experience in dentistry and joined our team in 1990. Currently she is responsible for accounts payable, payroll and various administrative systems. Previously she was an expanded duties assistant, schedule coordinator and a Customer Service Representative for a local dental supply company.

Outside of the office she enjoys boating with her family and happily traveling the globe with her husband.

Donna joined Edgar Dentistry in 1984 as a new graduate of Puget Sound Institute of Technology. Prior to dental assisting Donna was a graduate of Kamiakin High School in Kennewick, WA and Columbia Basin Community College where she played varsity basketball.

Donna prides herself on patient comfort and quality dental care. Our patients feel fortunate to have this dedicated career professional provide their care in our office for all these years. Her hobbies include tending her oversize Dahlia garden, which won her a Blue ribbon at the Puyallup Fair, camping with her family and cruising in their '56 Chevy.

Gretchen has been in dentistry for the past 22 years and was an operations officer in a bank prior to transitioning to the dental field. After graduating from Mt Tahoma High School she attended Washington State University.  She enjoys all aspects of Dentistry especially interacting with patients and seeing how dentistry can enhance the lives of our patients.  She enjoys helping patients attain their dental goals through discussing treatment plans and looking for innovative ways for patient financing to enable their treatment.

In her spare time, Gretchen enjoys showing Cocker Spaniels, skiing and glass blowing.

Lana graduated from Pierce College in 2003 and prior to becoming a dental hygienist was a dental assistant for a year. She truly loves what she does and enjoys helping patients achieve their optimal oral health. She loves to get to know her patients on a personal level while providing highest quality care possible in a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.

On her time off, Lana enjoys spending time with her family, especially outdoor activities such as walking, biking and camping when the weather allows. She also loves playing piano and violin in her spare time.

Melissa graduated from Bryman College in 1999. She joined Edgar Dentistry in 2003, after 4 years experience in periodontal and general dentistry practices. Melissa brings with her a positive attitude in treating patients with care and concern.

Outside the office she enjoys spending time with her children, family and friends.

Valerie is another high performer of the Edgar Dentistry team. She received her training at Eton Technical College and became certified (CDA) in dental assisting in 1986 and is a member of the American Dental Assistant Association. Valerie offers a dedication to excellence in patient care by educating patients in applying the latest dental techniques in comprehensive dental treatment planning. The organizational skills she brings to our practice are a tremendous asset in forming dental study groups and other forms of continuing education for our office and others.

In addition, Valerie is the Washington Academy of General Dentistry Executive Director. In her free time she enjoys boating, shopping, power walks, her husband's football coaching and raising their west highland terrier.

Wendi graduated from Weber State University Dental Hygiene program in 1994. Prior to that she was a dental receptionist for many years. Wendi practiced as a hygienist in Utah until moving to the Northwest. After moving to Washington, Wendi completed the Restorative Dentistry course at Pierce College in 2009 to receive her Dental Hygiene license in Washington State. Wendi joined the Edgar team in 2010 and brings with her a variety of experience including Zoom bleaching. She enjoys all aspects of Dentistry.

In her free time, she enjoys going on walks, cooking and spending time with her husband and 5 children.
