Dr. Linda Edgar

Meet Dr. Linda Edgar, co-owner of Edgar Family Dentistry after graduating from the University of Washington in 1992. Dr. Edgar originally received a BS in Zoology and teaching certificate in 1973, a Masters in Education in 1976 and taught Junior High and Senior High Science for 14 years before returning to attend Dental School. During the 1980's, Dr Edgar became known nationally as a runner after winning many marathons, running in the US Olympic Trials and setting a world record in the 50 Kilometer distance.

Dr. Edgar has developed a comprehensive approach to treating patients from early childhood through late adulthood. She introduced our office protocol for the use of sedation and anesthesia using the services of a board certified anesthesiologist, who provides office based anesthesia services. This unique patient service is rare in the dental community and extremely appreciated by those patients who are candidates for such a service. Dr. Edgar was awarded the Mastership award by the Academy of General Dentistry in 2002. She also is involved as a volunteer to the Washington State Dental Association as a former member of the organizing committee for the annual Pacific Northwest Dental Conference with nearly 10,000 participants.

Dr. Edgar has been recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, the Academy of Dentistry International, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Academy of General Dentistry. During her free time he enjoys running, golf, walking her two golden retrievers and vacationing in Hawaii.
